The Simpson Army Barracks in Watsonia

The Simpson Army Barracks in Watsonia is an Australian army facility actually located in the suburb of Yallambie, right next to Watsonia, north Melbourne.

The barracks is named after Major General Colin Hall Simpson and was actively used during the Second World War.

There are two museums located within the Simpson Army Barracks: The Australian Army Signals Museum and the Royal Australian Army Pay Corps Museum. You can gain public access to both these museums to view their displays, learn more about local history and about the role this site played in Australian war time.

There is a Simpson Army Barracks bus interchange/station located on Greensborough Road.
